The university expanded its academic offerings over the following decades and introduced online courses in 2001 to broaden access. In 2024, it launched intercollegiate athletics, marking a significant institutional shift. In March 2025, the United States Sports Academy officially changed its name to United States Sports University, reflecting its expanded academic scope and evolving role in sports education.
